The overview is simple; each of the seven stages below has a job. Follow them in order, including germination with the lid on, then moving the open chamber into the LightDock.
01 Add water
Fill the chamber to the marked line so the tray can draw up what it needs.
02 Sow seeds
Scatter seeds evenly across the reusable tray.
03 Close the lid
Keep the lid on during germination. The guide varies this stage by seed type.
04 Move into light
When germination is complete, remove the lid and slide the open Growth Chamber into the LED LightDock.
05 Let it grow
Control the light manually and check the water regularly. For grows longer than seven days, replace the water and clean the Growth Chamber at seven-day intervals.
06 Harvest fresh
Harvest is usually around 7–14 days, depending on the seed and type of microgreen.
07 Store if needed
Store harvested microgreens in the Growth Chamber in the fridge with the lid closed if needed. After use, wash the Growth Chamber and tray thoroughly with warm water and dish soap.

What else do I need before my first grow?
Suitable microgreen seeds, water and a USB power adaptor. The USB cable is included; seeds and adaptor are not.
Which seeds are suitable?
Choose seeds sold for growing edible microgreens. The Sprig guide includes varieties such as radish, broccoli and cress. Follow the instructions for your chosen seed.
How long does a crop take?
Roughly 7–14 days, depending on the seed and type of microgreen. Follow the crop guide and harvest when the greens are ready.
How often should I check or replace the water?
Check the water regularly and follow your crop guide. For grows lasting more than seven days, replace the water and clean the Growth Chamber at seven-day intervals.
How do I clean Sprig?
Wash the Growth Chamber and tray thoroughly with warm water and dish soap between uses. Remove the chamber from the LightDock before taking out the tray or lid.
Does Sprig need daylight?
The integrated LED LightDock provides light for indoor growing. Move the open Growth Chamber into it after germination and follow the seed-specific growing guide.
How is the light powered and controlled?
Use the included USB-C to USB-A cable with your own USB power adaptor. The light is switched and timed manually; there is no automatic timer included.
Can I use Sprig without the app?
Yes. The app is optional and needs no account. It offers growing guidance and saves your grow data in that browser; it does not sync between devices.
